Fuel System  (Read 2872 times)

maybe add a gasoline meter, I think this would add to the overall immersion of the game and give the players a bit more to do, give the game a bit more life.

As long as it doesnt turn into a RP server maybe. Plus most of the time our cars will be destroyed by something anyways lol

I think having it as an option would be amazing. A couple gas stations would need to be mapped (the Fort Carson one is shut down, I can't think of any in El Quebrados, none in Las Payasadas or Las Barrancas, and probably a few towns in Red County) for this but this would be a fun option to have.

Yeah there's one south of Angle Pine, and then another one on the interstate east of town there. There's also one between El Quebrados and Las Payasadas, but nothing between Fort Carson and El Quebrados which I now remember the large truck stop that's there. I don't think there's one in Bayside or Palomino Creek. There's one on the north end of Montgomery but I can't think of any in Blueberry. This is all going off memory so please excuse any errors lol.

Why would this be fun to have? What kind of addition would it have.. all I can think of are RP reasons or some serious annoying pursuits where your car just runs out of fuel and you're doomed..

To add, I see no point of having any additional gas stations to map as there are plenty which are actually spread properly, sure some smaller towns might not have them but going from Palomino Creek to Dillimore is nothing as they're quite close.

Here's a map that I managed to find of all existing gas stations (I can confirm these are all in game gas stations only that the map has them changed to their IRL counterparts):

Though this may seem like a good idea, I do feel like it is a bit too "RP"ish. And most definitely, people will most likely start to get annoyed that they have to refill their car each time. Or annoyed that their car runs empty of gas during a pursuit.

as long as you start off with a good gas level it would be fine, maybe have about 20-30 minutes (rl time) worth of gas and as long as you check it once in a while there would be no issue. just imo anyway.

Just a few things to do :)
I think it would be a good idea to take our free time between callouts, not for RP.

This would be awesome to add, and make the driving around much funner when not receiving calls. 1+

Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA

Suggestion: Adding a fuel system to the server where after "x number" of km, you would need to refuel otherwise your vehicle would not start

Why should this be added?: Would make it a lot more realistic, instead of just driving around endlessly, you would have to do the very basic task of refueling

Anything else you'd like to add?: I know people will start whining about "oh my car ran out of fuel while in a pursuit". Only thing I can say to that is, thats why you keep an eye on your fuel guage. Either you make sure you are always above half full, or if you run low on fuel during a pursuit, request a different unit to take over, and go refuel. Would make things a lot more interesting, as people would have to really consider, iss the pursuit worth it?

Afaik that's the Texaco. Also don't bump old topics please.

only reason i put the suggestion in this thread is because I didn't realize there was already a thread here. if you want, i can move my suggestion back to its ow thread
