Advanced Gaming - who we are General

Advanced Gaming is a community which has been founded on October 3rd 2013. The community is rather known around Multi Theft Auto due to the roleplay project that we are currently working on and is in beta stage. The project's development status, however, is currently temporarily stopped due to the full focus that we've switched onto SAPD:FR Online's 1.0.0 update. The script that we're currently working on for the roleplay is completely made from scratch with a rather decent amount of features being added into it from time to time. In case you're interested to learn more about it please visit mta.advanced-gaming.org.

SAPD:FR Online

Our attention turned to SAPD:FR early summer this year when we saw a thread on the MTA Forums about it and have decided to give the mod a try. However, upon playing we were rather dissapointed that it had quite an amount of bugs present that were preventing us to have a fun experience as quite some features were blocked due to these bugs.

As we've played this mod for a day or two we've decided to solve some bugs ourselves as the script was available as public at the time and have managed to successfully do so. With the few bug fixes that we have done we've decided to contact Palm Beach Games and ask them if there was a possibility about us slowly fixing the bugs with them crediting us to which they've replied that they're not supporting the mod anymore but that if we're interested we can take it over and continue where they've left off at. Naturally this did require quite some discussion with the team and some planning on how to execute SAPD:FR and Roleplay development at the same time if we take over the project and have came to the conclusion that we put on a 110% focus for our first 1.0.0 update on the SAPD:FR branch and then split the development between myself and Tosfera on the projects.

With the decision of taking it over being made we've procceeded to contact Palm Beach Games and have discussed all of the terms and signed the right papers to fully take over the script. Result to this is that SAPD:FR will now be fully developed by Advanced Gaming, it's database has been fully moved to Advanced Gaming's server as well as the server.

At the moment we do have some future plans set up for the script that will happen after the 1.0.0 update but we've decided not to talk about the plans publically just yet as we don't want to promise things that may end up not being added to the script in the end due to some unforseen reasons.

In addition I would like to note that in case for some reason Advanced Gaming is no longer capable of holding the SAPD:FR Online modification it will be taken back to Palm Beach Games in the condition that we leave it at and the decision of what's going to happen next with it will be fully up to them.

Please feel free to ask any questions here and we'll be more than happy to answer them as soon as possible!

Re: Turn Signals Except that those simbols are already taken by the ELM afaik, the third option that is. Guess we could go for [ & ] by default and let everyone rebind it to their likings. Not sure yet.

[Suggestion]Pike strips
Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website):MTA

Suggestion:Pike strips that you can equip from any car and put on the road.

Why should this be added?:This would make pursuit more realistic and it would help us officers to know that if the suspects is getting away somebody can take shortcut and deploy pike strips and we him.

Good point yes those are used for MISC which I don't use. My bad. Bracket keys might be the next best option. Z/C might work but not sure if those are bound to something else already

Update 1.1.0 - Our plans & your thoughts Alright guys, let's talk about the big one now. This is something that we've been talking about both in game and on the forums as well as between us developers. We've figured it's time to release the entire plan about the big 1.1 update that will come to you in in a matter of a few weeks and bring some rather major changes to the entire script.

The systems that we plan to add with it are as follows:

New spawn menu

A brand new spawn menu that will be completely expanded from the current menu and will allow users to switch through multiple branches such as Police Departments, EMTs, FDs and maybe later even FBI.

With the new spawn menu we'll be able to expand the script in the future with any branch ideas that you guys come up with and in addition we'll be able to add "division spawning" which will let you spawn things that are specifically assigned to your division (division such as SWAT, Detective, etc.). Divisions, however, will not be a part of the 1.1.0 update, divisions will come later but the spawn menu will be expanded for the system right away.

EMTs / FD branches

The long awaited and asked for feature, EMTs and FD, they will have seperate callouts assigned only to them by the system and will be able to respond to player's medic requests. EMTs will have full ability to rescue patient's lives if in danger by following on screen commands (such as pressing arrows or what not, aka minigames) while FDs will have to extinguish any of the existing fires and maybe even pull out victims from their vehicles.

MDC System

MDC System will also not be ignored in this update, you will be able to run both ped names and vehicle plates on the system. In general I'm pretty sure you're all already aware on how the MDC System works so there's not much to say about it here.

Partner Patrols

With the new spawn menu you'll also be able to select the partner patrol options. Once you go into partner patrol you and your partner will be assigned as one unit (so called "Adam" unit - Adam is used for 2 man patrol in the LAPD). An example of your unit name would be 02 - Adam - 42 (you'll figure out how numbers on it are generated once the system is in). With a 2 man patrol you'll be able to access your partner's vehicle as a driver, you'll both get the same callout and exp for whatever actions you do. In addition we might also add a small additional exp reward for going into partner patrols to support more people doing it.

That's about it from the ideas, throughout the update proccess we'll release a couple of screenshots of the new systems as teasers for you, as we already said this might take a few weeks (a while to be exact) as those are some pretty big systems that we're implementing. We hope you'll have the patience for it as we can assure you, you will love it.

Please post your ideas and your thoughts on this by replying on this topic, we'd love to hear as much as we can from you as this update is slowly developing.

Update 1.0.5 - January 21 2017 This update is not as big as the previous ones as we're focused on the 1.1.0 update but that doesn't mean it doesn't bring anything as well.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue which would cause you to get stuck in the /settings menu
  • Fixed dispatch saying "cancel that" when trying to respond to a call
  • Fixed active callout not being reset if you arrest the ped yourself
  • Fixed callouts getting fully bugged on rare occurances (disregard bug), finally
  • Fixed backup blips not being destroyed resulting into new blips later on not being able to appear due to the GTA:SA stream limit
  • Fixed peds not getting weapons in random occurances on callouts
  • Fixed domestic disturbance callout doubling

General Improvements

  • Animations will no longer be reset if peds are inside of the vehicle (this caused them to be under the vehicle)
  • Admin panel now also bans the SAPD:FR Online account
  • Greatly improved the "fight in progress" callout by making peds either be armed with weapons, run away from the scene when police arrives or just simply continue to fight each other like nothing is happening cause why not?
  • Decreased possibility of random occurances happening during callouts to make them more fluent
  • Nametags now display donator & admin ranks
  • Added "suspicious vehicle" callout (elite callout)

Maps

  • Added fences to the Verona Mall to block access from cars
