Advanced Gaming - who we are General

Advanced Gaming is a community which has been founded on October 3rd 2013. The community is rather known around Multi Theft Auto due to the roleplay project that we are currently working on and is in beta stage. The project's development status, however, is currently temporarily stopped due to the full focus that we've switched onto SAPD:FR Online's 1.0.0 update. The script that we're currently working on for the roleplay is completely made from scratch with a rather decent amount of features being added into it from time to time. SAPD:FR Online

Our attention turned to SAPD:FR early summer this year when we saw a thread on the MTA Forums about it and have decided to give the mod a try. However, upon playing we were rather dissapointed that it had quite an amount of bugs present that were preventing us to have a fun experience as quite some features were blocked due to these bugs.

As we've played this mod for a day or two we've decided to solve some bugs ourselves as the script was available as public at the time and have managed to successfully do so. With the few bug fixes that we have done we've decided to contact Palm Beach Games and ask them if there was a possibility about us slowly fixing the bugs with them crediting us to which they've replied that they're not supporting the mod anymore but that if we're interested we can take it over and continue where they've left off at. Naturally this did require quite some discussion with the team and some planning on how to execute SAPD:FR and Roleplay development at the same time if we take over the project and have came to the conclusion that we put on a 110% focus for our first 1.0.0 update on the SAPD:FR branch and then split the development between myself and Tosfera on the projects.

With the decision of taking it over being made we've procceeded to contact Palm Beach Games and have discussed all of the terms and signed the right papers to fully take over the script. Result to this is that SAPD:FR will now be fully developed by Advanced Gaming, it's database has been fully moved to Advanced Gaming's server as well as the server.

At the moment we do have some future plans set up for the script that will happen after the 1.0.0 update but we've decided not to talk about the plans publically just yet as we don't want to promise things that may end up not being added to the script in the end due to some unforseen reasons.

In addition I would like to note that in case for some reason Advanced Gaming is no longer capable of holding the SAPD:FR Online modification it will be taken back to Palm Beach Games in the condition that we leave it at and the decision of what's going to happen next with it will be fully up to them.

+1 on this, I can't follow suspects properly without a unit overtaking me and trying to PIT like headless monkeys lol. You can see me at the video where we were headed from RC to LV I litteraly had to move to the opposite side of the highway to avoid Loteriapl hitting me again while trying to overtake me and PIT.

But these kind of don't make sense. in the city is not "state police" it's regular metropolitan units. these would be good if you're patrolling red county as a sheriff though. but even then, I'm more of a fan of the old school 90's style units. not a big fan of chargers or any "muscle" car really for that matter.

Well he just took the pictures inside of LS on his home host, afaik the regular home host script kinda spawns you there and personally I don't see the point of him driving outside of LS just to take a few pictures lol.

One month of SAPD:FR Online under Advanced Gaming Hey there.

So it's been a full month since we released our first 1.0.0 update so I figured that it should be recognized with this thread. So let's cover some things on what happened during our first month:


Updates

So far we've been through 5 updates and I believe we have the rights to say that we've changed quite a lot on the script and made it a lot better. Some of the notable changes that came through these updates are:

  • Brand new UI
  • Different departments that each have their own stats as well as completely changed ranking structure
  • Completely rewritten callouts that are a lot cleaner for the script and give random outcomes to make them less repetitive
  • A brand new /settings menu that came in the first update
  • Seperated dispatch chat from the chat which made following chat a lot easier
  • 39+ bugs fixed (counting from all the changelog posts)
  • Added an anti friendly fire, anti car theft & anti afk system
  • And much more that you guys can see in all of the update changelogs

A lot of these updates were influenced by your suggestions and feedback. Of course we may not be adding in suggestions as fast as some of you expect us to but you have to understand that there's a lot of work for us to do besides your suggestions.


Members

In the first month we reached 400+ registered accounts, hit a record of 14 players online at the same time as well as 43 members on the forums with 96 topics and 378 posts. It may not be much but we're more than happy with these numbers considering that the script itself is heavily based on NPC interaction and does not require a lot of players online at the same time.


Staff Additions

As a backup to the staff we've hired @SCPD, @Nick & @JuanTwoThree which we believe have been doing a great job on the server so far. Of course if you have had any negative experiences with them you can always put up your feedback about them and send it to one of the High Command Administrators.

Re: Turn Signals Except that those simbols are already taken by the ELM afaik, the third option that is. Guess we could go for [ & ] by default and let everyone rebind it to their likings. Not sure yet.
